Ibadat-e-Aman coverage on Aaj Tak Delhi Mar 19, 2017
On February 19, 2017, the Maratha Sewa Sangh and Backward Minorities Front (non-political) organized a Public Felicitation Ceremony at AGRA (India) on the occasion of Shivaji Jayanti and conferred the Bharat Gaurav Samman (Pride of India Award) for remarkable and outstanding public service in governance!
First public award in hometown Agra !
These lovely people forever changed my concept of a public felicitation…
Reminded of the Song- Ye public hai, ye sab jaanti hai, ye public hai….. (The people know it all, nothing escapes their eyes!
The spirit behind the public service front, Shri Jitendra Yadav ji- a grassroot leader of exceptional energy, admirable conviction, and commitment to public service! People like him spend their lifetime making and changing India!
JAI HIND !
Sheeshey… (Glass…)
Sandeep Silas ‘deep’
Kahin pe aah nikley, to kahin pe dam nikley
Mere armaan mere khwabon ke barabar nikley
(Somewhere the cry came out, somewhere my breath
My desires found the same fate as of my dreams)
Chah se kabhi kya etbaar aur wafa nikley
Khushi ke kareeb pahunchh dekha, puraney gham nikley
(Do faith and trust ever get a life just because you love?
What I found near my happiness, was nothing but old wounds)
Jo labrez they dil, ranai-e-mohabbat se
Wo bhi kuchh chatkey huey sheeshey nikley
(The heart that overflowed with the loveliness of love
Came out to be nothing, but pieces of shattered glass)
Tukdey-tukdey zameer main kab tak batorta
Kuey-yaar mein andherey tehkhaney nikley
(How long could I pick up, pieces of her conscience
In the lane of my beloved, I discovered dark alleys)
Saj ke pujta raha mere hathon wo lamha-ba-lamha
Mangney aaye zindagi, to wo bhi khamosh butt nikley
(The One whom I worshipped each moment as I adorned her
She too became a statue of silence, when I asked her for life)
Aye insaan pathar ke butt ki ibadat hi kar le
Shayad uss sey hi kuchh duaon ka jawab nikley
(O Man, worship the statue of stone instead
Perhaps, some answers to life, you might find in prayers)
Zaar na huey mere iradey, na thakey raastey
Mere yaar ke masoom kadam hi kamzor nikley
(Neither my determination is broken, nor my paths tired
The innocent steps of my beloved came out to be weak)
Ghuncha dahan mein chhuppi mohabbat khudgarz nikley
Kya hua iss jahan ko, koi sachha na nikley
(The love hidden in a bud like face, reveals itself so self-centered
What has happened to this world, none is found true anymore)
Haseen baaton se bhartey they jo zindagi
Fareb ki chadar oddey wo samajhdar nikley
(The one who filled my life with sweet nothings
Was found so worldly wise, underneath a veil of deceit)
‘Deep’ si mohabbat aaj koi kar le mujhsey
Aag mein jal kar hi, baati se roshni nikley
(May someone love me like a ‘deep’ today
The wick gives light, only as it burns in the fire)

Raastey
Sandeep Silas ‘deep’
Tamam raastey uskey samney they, chalta kis par
Taqdeer ka wo badshah tha, badalta kyun kar
Ishq bhi kiya to Khuda se, ruhaniyat uskey sar
Ek ek kar ke girtey rahey, insaan chaukhat par
Gairon ka laya zahar peeta raha, wo shahad samajh kar
Uskey qa’atil jo aye they, gaye mureed ban kar
Apney lahu ko bahata raha, jiskey liye zindagi bhar
Wo jigar ka tukda, hisaab mangta raha, gin gin kar
Moo-e-badan ho gaye chandi, safar mein chal kar
Tajurba iss tilismi duniya ka, pura na hua magar
Farebi shahar mein rekhta zameer wo chunta kyun kar
Fakeeri uska aalam thi, darakhton ki ameeri uska ghar
Ankhon mein wafa nahin milti ab iss daur mein hamsafar
Tujhko diye jaatey hain kuchh roshni ‘deep’ apna jaan kar

Paths
Sandeep Silas ‘deep’
So many paths were before him, which one to take?
He was King of his destiny, why would he change?
When he fell in love it was with God, spirituality filled him
One by one the men kept falling, before him at doorstep
He drank the poison brought to him, believing it be honey
Those who came to murder him, went back as his admirers
For the one he kept bleeding his heart his entire life
That portion of heart kept on keeping count of money
Hair turned silver over his body as he walked the path of life
The experiences of this magic world still he could not live full
In a city of cheats, why would he pick up scattered conscience
A mendicants life was his world, the richness of trees his home
In these Times you don’t find faith in eyes, my companion
‘Deep” continues to give you some light, thinking you his own

Shelter
She has started liking me thus immeasurable
Without a reason she comes to meet me everyday
Neither she is afraid of gossips or being discovered
She has become captive of my eloquence and verse
How can I say to her all those couplets before the world
Those I have written to narrate to her in privacy
Slowly-slowly her footsteps are now moving ahead
She remembers all things sans reason and meaning
Tomorrow she will come again like the morning breeze
The gardener waits like the desire of a blossoming rose
